Grantmaking

Each Spring, the Latino Family Fund convenes an annual meeting to allocate grants to nonprofits serving Gilroy that advance the well-being of Latinos and other populations in need. Approximately 5% of the Fund is granted to nonprofits during each annual grant cycle. The Fund’s past grantees include Valley Verde, South County Cal-SOAP, Gilroy Arts Alliance, South County Collaborative, BAWSI, and CARAS. Grantmaking by the Latino Family Fund increased from $525 in 2007 to $4,500 in 2015. As of 2023, grantmaking increased to over $12,000.
